STEM NOLA in Phyllis M Taylor Makerspace Lab

All summer long in the Phyllis M. Taylor Makerspace Lab, the group from STEM NOLA is on campus teaching the students about many different lessons including aerodynamics, solar power, polymer science, force, motion, the lungs, and respiratory system. This week, STEM NOLA focused on buoyancy and density.  Students learned about these concepts in theory and then in practice by constructing their own boats.  Our students are so blessed to have STEM NOLA on campus not only teaching, but letting the students experience science first-hand!

The Judeo-Christian values which have inspired the Nativity model include a respect for the dignity and potential of each person, a responsibility to assist the poor and those in need, a strong sense of community within the one family of God, and the obligation to promote a society characterized by social justice. In this Nativity model, students are enrolled without regard to race, color, religion, or ethnicity.
