Civil Engineers Talk Erosion With 4th Grade
Civil Engineers Kevin Kernion and Nick Priola from Cycle Construction visited GSS to speak with the 4th graders about erosion on the Mississippi River Levees and on the city street pot holes. They explained how levees and streets are made as well as how erosion threatens the levees and how they contain the river. The presentation was very interactive with much student participation. The students were very interested and asked many questions. Soon, the students will create their own solutions to some of the erosion and pot hole problems to present for their PBL.
