Black History Month
On Thursday, February 13, grades 3rd - 7th celebrated everything that is African American history and culture. Students prepared skits, dances, presentations, and songs about the influential black icons of the past 60 years and beyond. The presentations were organized by Ms. Hill and Ms. Henry, but were performed and created by students. Artwork celebrating the many important African American authors, politicians, athletes, civil rights leaders, and many more were presented and hung around campus. In the end, students were entertained and educated as everyone remembers those important people and times throughout history.
Ms. Schlaudecker's 5th grade students recently completed a work of art celebrating many important African American national figures.
