PK4 Astronauts
The GSS Pk4 students recently learned about Dr. Mae Jemison, the first African American woman in space. The students learned the history of space travel and about Dr. Jemison's journey. She was also a doctor, author, scientist, dancer, and entrepreneur. The students dressed like an astronaut as did outer space activities to enrich their learning. The study of Ms. Jemison is the continuing Black education that takes place at GSS in partnership with the Black Box curriculum.
